Visit Days In Rikers Island

holiday can start - Hangzhou to Shanghai Yangshou

Goodbye to Shanghai in the "real" China, away from all consumer and business, into the interior so was our plan.

first stop of the trip should be Hanghzou, why wars Estherli. Sorry, we did not this time so good luck with the weather and it rained for two days really. NA was boring we still do not, so we spent the time with travel planning, Baileys and long talks. Is, after all, already a more years ago when we saw the Estherli tell ... and we can anyway 24-7.

So the train to Guilin was booked and a 22-hour journey before us ... Esther first shocked "What in the train as long as" I "is indeed a short hop, only one night" ... so the Transib left their mark so fast shocks me anymore.

arrived in Guilin we ride a raft down the Li River to Yanshou decided according to our offense ... we have paid too much, but I still have THAT Justin Eingeheizt decent in retrospect, and we have bus direction Hong Kong received at least cheaper. The Chinese wanted us 2 little girls but smooth time to cheat, well, since he is disappointed but sometimes violent, he has to do with 2 travel experienced "women" ;-) (Uiuiui because I have to laugh at myself straight, I as a woman ) Denote

Well regardless of the price (10 euros, which really is not the world), the raft ride was beautiful. We two alone on our raft, no one far and wide stone formations other than water buffalo and huge.

Arrived went by bus, tuk-tuk and bicycle taxi to our hostel in Yangshou. Yangshou is a cool little town travel ... shopping till you drop, good restaurants and especially bars and sweet more bad than good dance clubs. All in one a place where you can leave quickly hang times. Well, thank God, the bus was already booked to Hong Kong.

time in Yangshou passed in flight, and despite all the difficulties and to and downs (which need not be mentioned, some privacy so you have to treat yourself, too) it was a good time with a cheerful evening in one of those "bad" clubs ... well, it was all fun times for us but I think even more for the Chinese :-)

Summary: Chinese are just COOL! And from time to rock right! I only say POLE DANCING ;-)

Why Does Female Genitals Get Dark After Waxing

- synonymous with business and money

The Italian restaurant around the corner - Are we in Parma, Chicago, Frankfurt or Shanghai?

Shanghai - a city of extremes.
In particular, for those who have decided to stay here, but also a challenge, sometimes disconcerting, the words and MONEY BUSINESS prevail here.
Shanghai with around 20 million people, one of the largest cities in the world. living and working here also means having to get along in the size and diversity of the city. Manu, a friend of Andy from Munich, is just about to do this and was kind enough to host us for a few days and bring us closer to the city.

A few impressions of this city:
What Europeans as "normal" is described, in Shanghai partly absurd. What absurd in Europe, is normal for people in Shanghai. Unimaginable kitsch and much publicity that even Americans stood in amazement, but the foreign cultures and languages completely conservative opposite. The wildly honking motorists rushing madly through the city, but who never swear, if they are cut. The workforce in the fine suit, but a totally dirty and abgelatschten shoes, plus spitting pulling through the area. Modern skyscrapers, to rebuild the tradition. It took up all the contradictions opened up to a whole for us.

Endfazit: It was a mix of Amiland, Europe and China but ... For me too much business to Beijing and a little culture shock. Super 2 story home, however, was Manus middle of it - felt like home. Thanks nchmal!

"Welcome to China - Welcome to Beijing"

The first words with which we were greeted by a taxi driver in Beijing. As says one once the Chinese had a closed, unfriendly people. But for later. to play to be

welcomes the initial euphoria same in English, the ray of hope finally back to Easy Going Travel applied without any sign language, imitate animal sounds to have or Pictionary vanished, even in the second sentence of the taxi drivers, because that sounded now really all Chinese for us. That a standard set of "Welcome ..." We heard quite a few times, but it was not because of the good English but the Chinese are remnants of the 2008 Olympics here. As we cleared up Hannah, our omniscient chicks gathered around the taxi driver probably months before the Olympics in huge lecture halls at the university after a set time and again that award, so to speak, they really sound, but more English is not in it :-(
A real
By fighting began, because not that words like Railway station, bank or supermarket are known ... so come on Andy get your sound box and I get out the brush was ... always have been by my students praised for my art works at the table when introducing vocabulary ... Uiuiui ;-)
Bejjing: a hammer city, is one of my TOP RANKING list!

We booked into an old hutong, which are so-called neighborhoods / areas. Our Hostel (Hostel Far East) is a true oasis, with a wide and quiet courtyard, and the middle of a 15 million city. Life in the hutongs is so peaceful that lead people to play on the street, old Opis their dogs for a walk, children playing or just pee on the street, smoking food stall, particularly at night a show has moved time and again to marvel. There walks LingFu, T-shirt, of course, carded upward so that the corpulent belly is worn to show ... then Shangli, but with the Hello Kitty pajama clad, sitting on the road to Hutongklo ... Milu on the side of the road and plays the flute ... Chungfu with the card set and precious bundle of Yan in the hand on the way to gamblers FunKungla round ... and still running his night dance session in the park. A driver that is so peaceful and harmonious play. Everyone knows everyone in his Hutong, there's only bathroom / toilet per street, a hairdresser, a butcher, a 24-hour shop, a tea shop and small street kitchens. After a day we felt at home and were immediately known. Now to the Chinese: A very curious why people one must not be confused when suddenly a front stops on a screened from top to bottom, just watching and even arrives. But not unpleasant ... the are so fascinated by India and western Sometimes you really like a superstar, because everyone wants a picture with you.
"One million bicycles in Beijing" which can not only Katie Meluha singing but now we have a song. You have to imagine four lane roads and all go peacefully side by side, whether by car, bus, taxi or even by bike We immediately fell in love cycling here and have 3 days to our bike market See, to the palace and went to dinner ... ah pure feeling of home. It was very hard to take leave of this great city, but you know me, new ideas and requests are already in my head ... English teachers here are always looking urgently ... I say only: ". At home in the world"
The crowning was our farewell Hike on the Great Wall - Jinshanling to Simatai 10 km from the blazing heat. Pure effort, a lot of sweat has gone but also moist eyes - a life-long dream came true. It was just like a miracle to sit there, feeling the wind and enjoy a chilled beer as a reward.
