201O EXPO in Shanghai - could also be ne toothpaste advertising, right?
The Italian restaurant around the corner - Are we in Parma, Chicago, Frankfurt or Shanghai?
Poser ;-) The two combined.
Barbarossa Bar in the Financial District - so were the prices - but unique atmosphere.
view from Manu's Apartment ... was really deluxe.
Skyline Shanghai
TV Tower - Kidsch is standard - the main thing it blinks and lights up.
The negative side of Shanghai: Dunst - and we complain because of fine!
A picture for my BIL FAMILY - well since I came out of the beam not get out and go All together now: "I've ne onion on your head I'm a doner, because Doner makes beautiful ... ' :-)
In particular, for those who have decided to stay here, but also a challenge, sometimes disconcerting, the words and MONEY BUSINESS prevail here.
Shanghai with around 20 million people, one of the largest cities in the world. living and working here also means having to get along in the size and diversity of the city. Manu, a friend of Andy from Munich, is just about to do this and was kind enough to host us for a few days and bring us closer to the city.
A few impressions of this city:
What Europeans as "normal" is described, in Shanghai partly absurd. What absurd in Europe, is normal for people in Shanghai. Unimaginable kitsch and much publicity that even Americans stood in amazement, but the foreign cultures and languages completely conservative opposite. The wildly honking motorists rushing madly through the city, but who never swear, if they are cut. The workforce in the fine suit, but a totally dirty and abgelatschten shoes, plus spitting pulling through the area. Modern skyscrapers, to rebuild the tradition. It took up all the contradictions opened up to a whole for us.
Endfazit: It was a mix of Amiland, Europe and China but ... For me too much business to Beijing and a little culture shock. Super 2 story home, however, was Manus middle of it - felt like home. Thanks nchmal!
