On 08/09/2010 I trickled in around 15:00 clock for fresh from vacation in Northeim Preparation Seminar one for my volunteer service. Before me 12 days of intensive preparation were in a totally crazy;) group, then roared past the time that the pace of a rocket to me. Together we worked on issues such as development cooperation, cultural differences, prejudice or conflict management, which made me sometimes very thoughtful and I demanded a high concentration.
There were also various exercises such as the blind exploration of a very hilly forest land, which I helped myself better to get to know and to find my goals.
also came the fun, too: Especially for team building, to establish trust as well as networking between the participants to unite us later for larger projects or exchange problems, eased a lot of games and Energizer to our seminar!
this includes the rocket, a daily activity carried out in a circle several times, which often caused a stir in the public and strengthened our team spirit.
Now even the first part of my weltwärts voluntary service is ending. Included in the package: a lot of new information, a packing list has become longer again, a bunch of new friends and most important: a piglet as a finger puppet from our team as a constant companion.
